Once again a neat little update has been released by Signify, the owner of Philips Hue lighting. The Philips Hue App version 4.10. In this update, we did receive three new features. We got some nice Holiday-themed scenes. They added a couple of features to the sync option for Spotify. And the explore tab has been redesigned. So let’s dive into the changes. You can check the full release notes on Philips Hue’s Release notes page.
TL;DR;
- Holiday-themed scenes
- Style setting for Spotify sync
- Redesigned explore tab
Holiday-themed scenes
The holiday season is coming up soon, and with the holidays come festive lights of course. Philips Hue added 7 new Holiday–themed light scenes to make the holidays even more beautiful. To find them, go to one of your rooms from the Home tab and click on the plus (+) icon next to My scenes. Select Hue gallery and scroll down for the Holiday scenes
Style setting for Spotify sync
The new Spotify sync tab keeps getting updates for almost every release. In this release, a new Style setting has been introduced. The new Style setting in the Sync tab makes your Philips Hue + Spotify even more customizable. Choose Classic or the new Pulse option, which offers a totally different sync experience.
Redesign explore tab
The explore tab within the Philips Hue App 4.10 has been revamped. On top of this tab, you will now see new features from the app and ideas you try yourself.
Bug fixes & stability improvements
As with almost every update, bug fixes & stability improvements need to be done to keep the app up and running as you expect. This means coding bugs need to be crushed and old code needs to be thrown out of the window. Let’s hope we will see some nice performance improvements with this.
