Hue Essentials is the third-party Hue application that I use almost every day. It offers some amazing features on top of the standard Philips Hue app. One thing that I personally really like is the direct support for Innr and Tradfri (IKEA) lights. But last week they announced another really cool feature.

Last week Hue Essentials announced that Hue Essentials is now available on the HUAWEI WATCH 3 and GT3. But more interesting is the comment underneath that post:

“We have been working on both Windows and Mac releases. They will see the light. From what I can tell you at this stage is that our Windows version will come first. Just some last challenges we are facing.”

Unfortunately, the release date of this PC version is not announced yet, and nor are the actual functionalities that will be included. It is said though that the windows version will come first. Of course, you will be able to control your Hue lamps and configure accessories. But hopefully, it will also be possible to use the entertainment function, as this is already available in Hue Essentials on AndroidTV.
